Your education and checklist progress are handled in the current page without automatic upload. An official-page update check sends only the public program ID. Optional AI explanations send a broad summary only when available and after your consent and request; your scores and budget amount are not sent.
Local plans, official-page checks and optional AI features use different information.
01
ApplyPath Match preferences
Information
Your chosen destinations, city, study level, subject, annual tuition budget, currency, fee-reference year and comparison weights
Purpose
Calculate and explain preference matches in this browser, retaining your choices across reloads and language changes
Handling
Preferences use a separate local-storage record in this browser. They are not uploaded, sent to universities or AI, or cloud-synced. Other users of this browser may see them. Reset preferences in Match; this does not delete saved schools or progress. School-list backups do not include these preferences. If storage is unavailable, the page explains that preferences remain in page memory only.
02
School list saved on this device
Information
Saved schools across all six study destinations, selected undergraduate or master’s application routes, entry years, planned rounds, application stages, notes, preparation checkmarks, personal dates and official-date completion records
Purpose
Keep your list and preparation progress across reloads and language changes, with backup export and import under your control
Handling
The school list uses this browser’s local storage, without automatic upload, cloud sync or submission to a university. Other people using this browser can see it. Clear it in My school list; downloaded backups must be deleted separately. If this browser cannot save the list safely, the interface warns that changes remain in page memory only. Other answers in the basic study planner remain in the current page
03
Your education and study plan
Information
Your education, study or graduation status, study progress, graduation year, curriculum, current and intended subject, destination, intended degree and intake. Optional details include grades, English test scores and dates, years of work, budget and housing plans. This also covers preparation progress you mark in a program checklist
Purpose
Use your answers for study routes, program-condition and budget comparisons, preparation steps and downloadable checklists. These comparisons run in the current page
Handling
These answers are processed in the current page’s browser memory, without automatic upload or server storage. No name, account, or file upload is needed. Refreshing or leaving may lose a plan you have not downloaded
04
Official-page update checks
Information
When you request a check, the selected public program ID is sent. Your education, grades, tests, work experience, budget and checklist progress are not sent
Purpose
Let the website server retrieve the program’s listed official sources and check whether readable content differs from the reviewed version
Handling
Page-check results may be cached in server memory. Successful results can be reused for up to six hours, and unavailable results for up to one hour. They are not saved as a student profile. If you open an official link, that website handles the visit under its own privacy policy
05
Optional AI explanation
Information
After you select the consent checkbox and request an explanation, OpenAI receives your chosen country, intended degree, interface language, and broad task statuses derived from your answers, such as whether a qualification is still in progress and whether language or funding preparation has started. The system also provides that country’s official guidance
Purpose
Help explain general application steps for the destination and questions to explore next
Handling
Your specific education, curriculum, subjects, study year, graduation year, intake month, grades, test scores and dates, work experience, budget amount, checklist progress, other free-form entries and documents are not sent. The application server does not persist AI request or response contents
06
AI usage and security records
Information
A daily pseudonymous usage identifier, request ID, creation time, AI usage measured in tokens, and whether the request succeeded. The identifier is derived from a trusted IP address when supplied by the hosting platform; these usage records do not store the raw IP address
Purpose
Manage usage limits, reduce abuse and troubleshoot failed calls
Handling
Records use a seven-day retention window. Expired records are cleaned up during subsequent AI requests, so deletion is not guaranteed at the exact end of day seven. These records contain neither plans nor AI request or response contents
07
Language preference and local downloads
Information
Your browser’s language preference, and study plans or Pacific Bridge LA support briefs that you choose to download
Purpose
Use your preferred interface language and let you keep or share the material you choose
Handling
Resetting a plan does not delete downloaded files or the language preference. Delete files yourself and clear the preference through your browser's site-data settings
STUDENT CONTROL
How to keep, share, or clear your plan
You can organize and download a basic plan without optional AI.
A
Start without AI
You can generate and download a plan from your education background without an account or AI.
B
Choose whether to send
AI explanations appear only when available. The broad information above is sent only after you consent and start a request. You can simply use the basic plan instead.
C
Download when ready
Plans do not autosave. A downloaded file may include your circumstances and related suggestions. You decide where to keep it and whom to share it with.
D
Clear the current plan
Reset clears the current page's plan. It does not undo an AI request already sent, remove minimal usage records or delete local files.
SHARING & RETENTION
Providers and data retention
OpenAI data handling
Our application server does not persist AI prompts or response contents, but that does not mean the provider retains nothing. OpenAI may retain abuse-monitoring records or related data under its policies. Default abuse-monitoring records are generally retained for up to 30 days, with possible legal or safety extensions. Provider policies and applicable settings govern.
Hosting and network providers may keep connection, error or security logs when you visit, request official-page updates or check AI availability. These checks do not send your planning answers. Provider logs follow their own policies, separately from the seven-day AI usage records described above.
Adult students and family communication
Public plans are not automatically shared with parents or schools. Pacific Bridge LA family support follows a separate service agreement, with the adult student's authorization for what is shared, with whom and how. A school introduction should not transfer private student records without permission.
Documents and support briefs
No transcript, passport, visa, or financial document upload is needed to make a study plan. A Pacific Bridge LA support brief is also created on your device and is not automatically sent. If you choose to contact a published email address, your email service sends the message, and you decide whether to attach the brief.
YOUR NEXT STEP
Clarify the next step. Choose what to share.
Organize what needs doing in the basic planner, download when useful and decide whether to discuss it with your family.
